Old Market Farm is an independent and environmentally conscious rose nursery and diversified farm situated ten miles East of Potsdam, New York, in USDA hardiness zones 3-4. We produce and sell more than 200 varieties of northern-climate, hardy roses on their own roots.
This summer we have been experiencing a drought in northern New York that has affected some of our rose varieties. We will accept mail order requests for spring 2017 by e-mail. For catalogue, go to Our Roses. Payment upon confirmation of availability. Local pickup by appointment.
We keep a small flock of Icelandic sheep. In 2016 we will only be producing spinning fleeces and fiber products. Click here for details about our flock. As of May 16, 2016 we have two white Icelandic lamb pelts (sheepskins) for sale.
We also grow and sell companion and fruit-bearing plants such as elderberries. Blueberries will not be available for sale in 2016 as we reestablish the blueberry bed. Garlic for eating and planting will be available after July.
Old Market Farm will be present at North Country events and festivals in 2016.
Old Market Farm is a New York State-licensed nursery.
